Belmont Market is Langford’s premier grocery anchored shopping centre. Anchored by a 52,000 square foot Thrifty Foods store, the project will feature approximately 200,000 square feet of commercial space and 156 rental residential units at buildout. Over 270 residential condominiums are planned for the southern edge of the site.
Belmont Market also benefits from traffic drawn by the adjacent Westshore Towne Centre, and area tenants such as Cineplex, Winners, Sport Chek, Real Canadian Superstore. At completion, this retail node will comprise over 1,000,000 square feet of retail GLA, creating a strong regional draw to the area.
The shopping centre serves a vibrant and rapidly growing trade area. Located less than 30 minutes from Downtown Victoria, Langford has been one of the fastest growing municipalities in BC. The trade area is characterized by larger than average households, a high percentage of single family homes, and higher than average household incomes.
Combined with relatively affordable housing prices, local consumers have healthy disposable incomes and the lowest unemployment rate in Canada. Featuring a main street shopping experience, and contemporary west coast architecture and design, Belmont Market will be the most attractive retail destination in the region.
