Landmark Cinemas has opened its doors at The Plaza@New Westminster Station. The theatre has 10 screens and is the only one in New Westminster.
Landmark is the third and final anchor to open for business at the development. Co-anchors are a 40,000sf Safeway and an 18,000sf Shoppers Drug Mart, which have been driving traffic to The Plaza since December.
Located next to the SkyTrain track, the cinema will enjoy high exposure to SkyTrain riders and expects to attract visitors from Burnaby, Surrey, and Tri-Cities. This SkyTrain station sees over 250,000 passengers passing through daily.
This unique transportation-focused development is near completion and combines 200,000sf of retail space with 750 residential units, the New Westminster SkyTrain Station, and the New Westminster bus depot. Retail and office space is still available for lease including a 5,000sf restaurant space located next to Landmark Cinemas. The space has a view of the river and is next to the SkyTrain track, providing high visibility to passengers.
Other uses of interest include optical, a barber, giftware, medical, and a dry cleaner.
Tenants now open include Westland Insurance, CIBC, RBC, Ardene, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Extreme Pita, International News, Lamina Spa, Subway, and A&W. New tenants are opening daily.
Tenants scheduled to open in 2012: Dollar Tree, a Liquor Store, Bell, Fido, Mobilicity, Togo Sushi, Starbucks, Rasoee, Nestle, Fresh Slice, Flight Centre, Megabite Pizza, Sedation Dental, Wind, and Tim Hortons, Samosa Express, a flower shop, gift shop, alterations, Shefield & Sons, Cubic World, a hair salon, Spud Shack, and PrimeTime Sports.
