Ricky's / Fatburger Combo Store Opens in Coquitlam, BC

Rickys FatburgerLast November a new Ricky’s All Day Grill and Fatburger combination unit opened at 1090 Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam.

The 6,700sf corner unit features separate storefronts and entrances for each concept. Ricky’s All Day Grill now operates in over 60 Locations nationwide with more on the way. There are now 30 Fatburger locations operating in Western Canada.

Advertising support for both concepts comes from radio, transit and print advertising, as well as a strong social media presence. Both Ricky’s and Fatburger are known for featuring high quality fixturing, strong brand recognition, product quality and operational
excellence.

Ricky’s Restaurants require 3,000 to 5,000sf pad and endcap locations. Fatburger restaurants require high profile pad, endcap and corner locations in the 1,000 to 2,000sf range.

Wesbrook Village, UBC's Desirable New Neighbourhood

Only four units remain in UBC’s Wesbrook Village, a 100 acre world-classWesbrook sustainable South Campus neighbourhood whose heart and soul is an urban commercial Village featuring a 33,000sf Save-On-Foods, the University Hill High School, a community centre, the Sauder School of Business MBA House, a senior’s residence, and over 25 restaurants, shops and services designed for everyday needs.

Tri-City Mall - Central retail destination serving affluent market - Cold Lake, AB

Tri-City Aerial Tri-City Mall is located in Cold Lake, Alberta, which is in the heart of the southern sands. Cold Lake boasts a vibrant economy where the average household income exceeds $110,000 per year.

Cold Lake is approximately 240km northeast of Edmonton and 130km north of Lloydminster with a trade area of 70,000 people. The local economy is driven primarily by the oil industry and the military. Canada’s largest Air Force base is located just outside the city. Cold Lake is central to several major oil sands projects including Imperial Oil’s $2billion processing plant project.

Ozzie Jurock of the Jurock Real Estate Insider lists Cold Lake as one of the best five small towns in Alberta to invest in. As of August condo and detached home sales for 2012 had already exceeded 2011 sales volumes, while the average price increased by 6% to $344,649. Rental vacancy rates fell from 4.9% in April 2011 to 0.3% in April 2012. He adds that Cold Lake has the second highest apartment rental rates in the province after Fort McMurray.

Kingsgate Mall - Transit oriented retail on 60,000vpd corner - Vancouver, BC

Kingsgate Aerial Kingsgate Mall is a transit oriented shopping centre located at Kingsway and Broadway in the dense neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant. This corner is visible to over 60,000 vehicles per day.

The Broadway Corridor is a major employment and transportation node with over 100,000 jobs in the area.

Over 110,000 transit trips per day travel the Broadway Corridor. The site is serviced by the busiest bus line in North America, the Broadway 99b.* The area is serviced every 7 minutes by the Main Street route 3, and every 6 minutes by the Kingsway route 8 during peak hours.

Mount Pleasant is a popular destination featuring restaurants and retailers that draw customers from all over Vancouver.

This neighbourhood has experienced explosive growth in recent years. There are currently over 2,000 residential units under construction within 3km of the mall. This is in addition to the recently completed Olympic Village approximately 1km from the site which contains 2,000 residential condominiums. In this area detached homes sell for over $1m and residential condos sell from $500 – $700 psf.

Three units are currently available from 1,000 to 5,070sf. Convenient surface parking is accessible by all directions from Broadway (33,000vpd).

Strathmore AB, "The Best Small Community for Business"

Pine Centre, Strathmore Pine Centre is a strip centre located in Strathmore, Alberta, a commuter town located just 15 minutes east of Calgary. The local economy is booming due to oil and gas exploration in the area.

Strathmore’s population has doubled over the past 15 years. With 19.7% population growth between 2006 and 2011, Ozzie Jurock of the Jurock Real Estate Insider lists Strathmore as one of the top ten fastest growing mid-sized cities in Canada.

The town’s economic base is diversified among oil and gas, agriculture and manufacturing activities, and average household incomes in the area are higher than the national average. Strathmore was rated the best small community for business by Alberta Venture Magazine (view article).

With a retail node of over 150,000sf and shadow anchored by a 35,000sf No Frills, Pine Centre is home to a mix of national tenants including Canadian Tire, Mark’s, Real Canadian Liquor Store, Boston Pizza, Tim Hortons, McDonalds and a variety of quick service restaurants.

White Rock Mixed-Use Development - Saltaire

Thrift Johnston Rendering Available in Fall 2013, Ledingham McAllister’s new mixed-use development in White Rock, BC will encompass two phases of retail and residential space.
