Central City FrontSitings Realty is pleased to announce that the sale of Central City has closed, and that Sitings Realty has been retained as exclusive agents for the retail portion of the property.

Retail sales have grown to $467 per square foot over $330 from a year ago. We are anticipating an exciting fall, and busy and productive ICSC, as Winners, The Brick and a 20,000 square foot Urban Behaviour will all be opening before 2008.

The entire mixed use project is comprised of 630,000 square feet of retail space, a 570,000 square foot office tower and a 30,000 square foot SFU campus. The office and retail components have been acquired by a consortium of Canadian pension funds represented by Toronto’s Blackwood Partners Inc. Sitings will be reporting directly to Blackwood in our capacity as leasing agents for the property.

We are seeking primarily fashion tenants to complement the existing tenant mix, in particular, shoe stores, young ladies and young mens’ fashion uses that will cater to the SFU student body and the influx of people moving into the affordable condos being developed in the area.
