Hope is the gateway town connecting Greater Vancouver to the British Columbia interior and the rest of Canada. Located at the junction of the Trans-Canada (HWY 1), Coquihalla (HWY 5), Hope-Princeton (Hwy 3), and Lougheed Highway (Hwy 7), Hope is the last stop for gas and food heading east, and first stop for food and gas heading west in and out of Vancouver.
The subject site is located at a major intersection on the main service road to the highway on and off ramps. This service road is critical as it features the majority of the major quick service restaurants, fuel suppliers and hotels.
The site is also part of a primary shopping area for the regional and local trading areas. Nearby traffic drivers include the largest grocery store in the trade area (Save-On-Foods), liquor store, restaurants, Fraser Canyon Hospital, and the Hope District Rec Centre.
With a strategic location at the gateway to the major highways, Hope is home to many highway and forest service support jobs. Hope has also become a popular outdoor recreation destination, and there is a growing residential community that supports its local industries.
